Social Media Integration

Social media has become ingrained into our everyday lives. More and more people are using LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter. Businesses are now realising there is a vital need to be where their customers are and get the vital information from it. Business Mechanix have been integrating social media platforms onto websites and other applications for a number of years.

Our Experience

Our clever developers are fantastic at integrating social media into websites and making it do fancy tricks. Business Mechanix developed a world class alumni portal for Wintec where we integrated Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter accounts into the website. The Alumni used this as an easy way to find other alumni through all forms of social media so whether they were on Facebook, Twitter or LinkedIn and they could search for people, connect and talk on discussion boards all in one place.

Business Mechanix designed the website for Back2fit and incorporated their twitter feeds onto their home page which means visitors to the page can see the latest tweets. It also allows visitors to write their own tweets about Back2fit. Our developer also allowed easy sharing to LinkedIn, Facebook and Gmail with the click on a button on the home page – users have the choice of what social media platform they wish to communicate on.

Business Mechanix have worked with Manukau Institute of Technology where the twitter frame work was used to create a user manager and access control tool for IT.

Have you check out our home page. We have also incorporated a LinkedIn feed for you to see what we have been up to and we have made it easy for you to check out our Linkedin Page. We have also given you the ability to share our website on other social media sites.

Business Mechanix developers have also integrated our Kinect for Development applications with Facebook. One example of this was our New Zealand map fly over simulator. This application allows users to fly a plane over New Zealand a choose things that interest them. This then takes a photo of the user and posts that photo in real time to the companies Facebook page. Our Kinect for Windows developers used the Facebook API and integrated it with the Kinect for Window SDK.
