Our Experience
Examples of some of our SharePoint work has included The University of Waikato where we developed a tool (UDM tool) to improve User Account Management processes. We customised and extended SharePoint User Profile Services to synchronise user profile between Active Directory (AD) and other databases like HR DB and phone book DB. We developed user interface and workflows (based on SharePoint 2013) to let people to manage, update, approve and auditing user profiles.
We implemented a staff intranet for Wintec in SharePoint 2010. The portal included team sites for each business unit and a personal MySite for all the users. Various systems where incorporated into the intranet including OSH accident forms, staff events, and vehicle bookings. Since the intranet was search centric FAST search server was used to provide comprehensive search results across the portal and help avoid confusing navigation.
We have worked with Laidlaw where we implemented their SharePoint 2010 for their staff intranet. We also migrated Waiariki from SharePoint 2007 to SharePoint 2010.Whitereia contracted Business Mechanix to implement a Password Changing Portal which was based on SharePoint 2010 so that it could integrate easily with website which also uses SharePoint
Our own product PARiS which is an executive risk management and project system is also based on SharePoint which uses standard SharePoint lists, customised forms and an event receiver.
We have also worked with New Zealand’s Biggest Early Childhood Centre Kindercare where we have looked at their security structure around SharePoint online and completed training with Staff as part of Office 365.
