Business Process Mapping

Business Mechanix talents have been used for a number of years to create clear and concise business process maps for a number of customers. Customers usually engage Business Mechanix for this sort work for a number of reasons from risk mitigation as the company’s intellectual property maybe stored in someone's head to simply wanting a document that can be used for standard operating procedures for the organisation.  In a number of instances we have also been engaged to map out new and improved processes for management of organisations, from an independent perspective. Our work in this area has lived on and we have been able to hand our business process maps over to teams to use and update for any future changes. Often we are able to provide advisory services as to what systems, steps of processes of technology enhancements need to be made to improve the process, and in some cases we are then used to configure and implement a technology solution to follow. 

Our Experience

Business Mechanix has some great examples of our work with Business Process Mapping.  Over the years our team has produced some excellent work in this area and worked with organisations to map current processes and new enhanced processes to both create efficient and effective businesses or departments. Some examples of what we have done is as follows: 

  • Re-mapped AUT University's Arion solutions release management processes for software release to customers
  • Business process mapping for lia trust and how they best dealt with processes with customers seeking legal advice.
  • Design of a new business process for a major recruitment company for a more streamlined process for candidates interviewing for positions and consultants recording interview notes

  • Business process mapped a new improved process for Streamlining of Enquiry and Student Recruitment processes for Te Whare Wānanga o Awanuiārangi including business process standardisation and implementation of an Enquiry Management solution
  • Created functional specifications for the collection of information for customers, processing of the information and outputting of financial assessments of customers with recommendations. These specifications were then  turned into a custom built solution Business Mechanix build for Triplejump
  • Creation of a new process to work together to manage risk and programme management for Te Whare Wānanga o Awanuiārangi
  • Creation of a new process for customer service for AUT’s ARION solution division
  • Creation of a new processes for IAG insurance for collaboration and communications with their broker channel
  • Mapping out and implementation  of new Sales and Marketing processes for Zeacom for global campaigning and mentoring team on adoption of these new processes
  • Creation of a letter consolidation process across multiple faculties for AUT for letters sent to prospective students
